Another day goes by
and I still haven’t eaten
I plan to get up and
I am knocked down
by gamma rays
Livid libations spout
from the lush rush
of maniacal lacerations
A lullaby sung in hushed tones
that only I can hear,
soothes my spasmodic soliloquy
and sends me to sleep
